At the foot of Cuernos del Negros or Mount Talinis is the town of Valencia in Negros Oriental, home to numerous waterfalls including Pulangbato Falls, otherwise known as Malabo Falls. With its proximity and accessibility from Dumaguete City, it is fast becoming a tourism hot spot.

In the deep crevices of the highland town of Valencia lies one of Negros Oriental’s most sought after tourist destinations – the towering Casaroro Falls!

Tejero Highland Resort and Adventure Park is a Private-Public-Partnership (PPP) of the municipality of Valencia, Negros Oriental and Philsouth Properties and Development Corporation. This partnership intends to provide guests a decent and affordable recreational and leisure facility.

The Forest Camp is a mountain resort perfect for individual, couple, or group vacations. Just 20 Minutes from the Dumaguete City Airport, its a quick getaway from the hassle and buzzle of the city. We have cold spring pools, cottages for day use, rooms for overnight stay, function halls for seminars, and a restaurant for dining. The camp lives up to its name as it has open spaces perfect for mountaineers to pitch a tent for their rest from treks to the nearby Casaroro Falls, Filipino-American-Japanese Shrine, and Mount Talinis. For fun and recreation, we have a zipline, a climbing wall, a bike trail, and a skate bowl for the hip and the daring.

High on the mountain above the volcanic plain that Dumaguete sits on, one can see from Cebu Island to Siquojor Island, and on a clear day, Bohol also. But the shrine is hardly much to look at. It’s one of several Japanese shrines that apologizes for its WW2 occupation of the Philippines, but such things are dead and nearly forgotten.
